SWEDISH WINE FROM KULLABERGS

The Experience of the year 2024 by Visit Skåne

Experience the vineyard

Welcome to experience the vineyard and try our beverages. During the summer we have several guided tours with tastings and wine tastings daily.

After the experiences, it is also possible to visit our new shop for cellar door sale of wine.

Guided tour with tasting
We walk around the vineyard, the new winery and our distillery. During the trip we try some drinks in well-chosen places. 445 SEK per person. approx. 1.5 h.

13:30 & 16:00 every day during summer.

Wine tasting
In our old winery we try three wines and a distillate. 290 SEK per person, approx. 30 min.

14:00 & 16:00 every day during summer.

Today's Experience
Two course lunch in the winebar with a wine tasting. 495 SEK, approx 1 h

12:00 at selected days during summer

Depending on the group, the main language will most likely be Swedish. But we do our best to talk on English aswell during the tours. You can book a guided tour for a group and get it only on English.

Cellar door sales (Gårdsförsäljning)

From June 1, cellar door sales will be allowed in Sweden. The law is designed with the experience in focus. You should be able to buy a smaller amount in connection with an experience, a so-called paid knowledge-raising activity that should last at least 30 minutes.

And then you wonder, of course, how do you shop wine at Kullabergs Vingård?

After a guided tour with tasting or winetasting, you can visit our new shop.

Today's Experience in the wine bar Skänken starts at 12 noon with a two-course lunch combined with a wine tasting.

In addition, we have special tastings, guest chefs and more in our wine club Kullabergs Vin & Vänner.

The winebar Skänken

Great news for all foodies! Take the opportunities to visit our area - Cape Kullahalvön. This season Titti Qvarnström and Johan Löfgren will run the winebar at Kullabergs Vingård.

Titti and Johan will continue to develop Skänken with focus on local ingredients based on the season with elements of “food of the future”. Exciting! However, Skänken is still a wine bar, so in addition to some lunch dishes, there will also be different starters and a lot of cheese & charcuteries. The menu is carefully paired with the wines of Kullabergs. See menu >>

Open hours:
Summer 23 June - 16 August:
Monday - Sunday at 12:00 - 18:30

Late summer 21 August - 30 August:
Thursday - Saturday at 12:00-18:30

Early autumn 6 September - 27 September:

We produce mostly white wines but also rosé, red, orange and sparkling wine. We work close to our production, ferment in smaller batches that we then blend into assemblage to reach wines with multi layers. In addition to our wines, we also produce dry apple cider along with various noble distillates.

From 1th of June you can buy our products here at the vineyard, when you do an pre-booked experience such as a guided tour with tasting or a wine tasting.

You can also buy our products at Systembolaget. Our products can be found in several stores, but sometimes they are sold out quick. If the bottle is not at your shop, you can often book it online and collect it at your closest shop.

Our noble spirits

We produce noble distillates from fruit and berries, partly from grape press residues but also from what grows around the plantations. We distill carefully and bring out the aromas from the natural character of the fruit.

Most recently we launched Bitter Valnöt, Art#34010, made from self-picked walnuts extracted in our own grape spirit. Perfect for coffee or as a drink accessory.

Bränneslyckan Druva Fatlagrad, Art#30764. It is made from the best grape pomace from the 2022 harvest. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months of new French oak.

We have a lot of different noble spirits at the shop at the vineyard. That we produce in smaller volumes.

The vineyard

The vineyard

Vingården

Our marine climate on the cape with the mountain Kullaberg at the tip has a great impact on temperature, sunshine hours and precipitation. Our northern latitude provides plenty of daylight during the growing season and together with cool nights towards autumn it provides a long growing season that fosters nice mature and aromatic fruit with a fresh acidity.

We have 22 ha of vines in four unique locations. The oldest vines are from 2006 when 1 ha was first planted. Our main green grape varieties are Solaris, Souvignier Gris, Donauriesling, Muscaris and our blue grape varieties are Pinot Nova and Cabernet Noir. We have over 30 different grape varieties in total with our test field and smaller plantations.

The soil is heterogeneous with sand and clay, with parts of the unique Kullait mineral.

Sustainable viticulture methods

We take pride working with viticultural methods that improve soil health, soil structure and contribute to increased diversity in and around our vineyards. We keep herb and flower mixes between the rows of vines, landscape trees along our borders. We spreading our own compost and compost tea to improve micro-life in the soul.

Our team

Kullabergs consists of several people who contribute to create a world-class vineyard. Everything from us who work here all year round, to seasonal workers, consultants, KVV members and harvest help.

We have a winemaking duo with Helena Lindberg and Nicola D’Agostini.

Helena Lindberg is the new winemaker at Kullabergs Vingård and has moved back to Sweden after 20 successful years as head winemaker at Tenuta di Biserno, the world-renowned vineyard in Tuscany owned by the even more well-known wine family Antinori.

Nicola D’Agostini has worked at the vineyard since 2022 and is an important part of Kullabergs Vingård’s success. He comes from the Dolomites and is educated in oenology and viticulture at the University of Udine.

Please read more about our two top international consultants Robert Steidl and Mia Fischer >>

Our new winery

Our new winery was nominated for the Swedish Wood Prize (Svenska Träpriset), one of Sweden's most prestigious architecture competitions that has been running since 1967. 140 entries from the beginning and we were one of the 12 finalists. The competition is shown in five episodes with a big gala prod-cast in the end.

Since 2016, together with Berglund Arkitekter, we have planned and designed a modern and functional production facility, which is both beautiful and fits into the landscape. We put the shovel in the ground at the fall of 2020. In October 2022 we moved into the new winery, just in time for harvest.

There is a lot to experience around the Cape Kullahalvön. Take the opportunity to extend your stay a little in connection with the winery visit. The peninsula is full of beautiful nature and unique experiences by the sea. The region is also a culinary highlight with many good restaurants, vineyards, breweries and other producers of fruit and vegetables in a small area.

Check out kullahalvon.com for good tips, or email us and we will help you make a good itinerary.
